Job Title: Cluster Program Manager
Location: Varanasi (with travel across assigned area/schools)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary:
The Cluster Program Manager at Akshar Foundation is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of educational programs and operations across a designated set of schools within an assigned area. This includes coordinating with school staff, ensuring adherence to Akshar’s curriculum and standards, monitoring performance, and supporting field teams in delivering high-quality outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Area-Level Program Oversight
- Supervise the operations of all schools within the assigned area
- Ensure smooth implementation of Akshar Foundation’s skill-based and academic curriculum.
- Regularly visit schools to monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide solutions.
2. Team Coordination & Management
- Directly manage and mentor Akshar employees and Vocational Trainers within the area.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and capacity-building workshops.
- Ensure timely communication of expectations, updates, and goals.
3. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track attendance, program delivery, and student outcomes using defined tools and MIS systems.
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to the seniors as required.
- Document case studies, impact stories, and any escalated concerns.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with Government School Principals and teachers to coordinate school-based activities.
- Represent Akshar Foundation in community meetings, government forums, or area’s team reviews.
- Maintain positive relationships with school management and local authorities.
6. Compliance & Safeguarding
- Uphold child protection, safety, and organizational code of conduct policies.
- Report any incidents or grievances through proper channels.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduation/ Postgraduate
- Minimum 3-4 years of work experience
- Preferably experienced working in a school, educational program, or NGO.
- Experience in Teacher Training
- Proficiency in English and Assamese (spoken, written, and reading).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and report preparation.
