Job Summary: The IT Officer is responsible for managing and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing software and hardware solutions, and maintaining network security to support the company’s technology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1.System Management:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of network and server infrastructure.
2. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly to minimize downtime.
3.Software and Hardware Upgrades:
- Plan and execute software and hardware upgrades and installations.
- Ensure compatibility and integration of new technology with existing systems.
4.Data Management:
- Manage data backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity.
- Maintain and update documentation related to IT systems and procedures.
5.Vendor Management:
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance IT operations.
6.Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to IT.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
7.Project Management:
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and support.
- Coordinate with other departments to align IT solutions with business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, software applications, and hardware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
