Position: Student Counsellor 

Type of Job: Part-Time


Criteria:


  • A degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field. 
  • Previous experience in student counselling or working with young adults is desirable. 
  • Language: English, Hindi, Assamese 


Roles and Responsibilities for Part-Time Student Counsellor:

  1. Provide Counselling Services: Offer individual and group counselling sessions to students addressing personal, academic, and emotional challenges.
  2. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct assessments to understand students' needs and develop personalized counselling plans.
  3. Confidentiality: Maintain a confidential and safe environment for students to discuss sensitive issues.
  4. Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support during student crises and refer to additional resources if necessary.
  5. Monitor Progress: Track student progress and adjust counselling plans as required.
  6. Workshops and Seminars: Conduct workshops on stress management, study skills, mental health awareness, and related topics.
  7. Collaboration: Work with teachers and staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions and student progress.
  9. Promote Mental Health: Raise awareness on mental health issues and reduce stigma within the student community.
  10. Availability: Be available for scheduled sessions and offer support during emergencies as needed.
